Loyalty Marketing
The world has changed into a content-driven world. If no one knows about your business, then you are just another needle in a haystack with a broken GPS system. Blogs are the new era of personal journals that allow any web user to spill the beans about how they feel towards anything from the latest James Bond movie to the most recent iPod to hit store shelves. Bloggers are uniting at an extremely rapid pace, and Blogging itself has become an advertising method on it’s own over the past few years.
Company’s of all industries have become aware of this phenomenon, and are using Bloggers as third-party marketing tools by having “everyday individuals” tell other everyday individuals just how amazing a particular (sponsored) product or service is. Traditional means of marketing are becoming more and more obsolete in today’s society, where individuals are becoming more and more skeptical of advertisers and their quest for profit.
This notion has left advertisers around the world struggling to break through this wall of skepticism. Enter the world of blog marketing. In this new generation of marketing, Bloggers have become lucrative tools in the quest of advertisers to reach their target audience through a third-party, which ultimately increases authenticity of their intended messages. This improves the chances of having these marketing messages being taken to heart by a target audience. Why? It’s simple. When consumers are given positive reviews of a product from other peers, then they are deemed authentic and are therefore taken seriously. When consumers are given positive reviews of a product from advertisers on the other hand, then they are usually believed to be just another sales pitch in disguise.
