Mr. Pretzels
Overview:
Mr. Pretzels is a snack franchise which has been serving their pretzels concept in over 140 stores in 10 countries since 1994. Their world renown pretzels are hand-rolled and freshly baked at their on-site kiosk locations using natural and healthy ingredients without any preservatives. Mr. Pretzels recognizes the importance of using an online website as a part of their franchise expansion strategy to introduce their pretzels concept to other major malls and cities worldwide. Previously, updating the website would be a tedious and time-consuming task which requires multiple communication touch-points before any changes could be implemented. In order to simplify the website management process and to alleviate the burden on the internal staff, the franchise was looking for an innovative and cost-effective content management system to support their website on a single platform.
Our Process:
Investigate - The initial step in implementing a content management system is to analyze our client’s website and to understand their online strategy. Based on our research and discussion, we have identified 3 key problems that Mr. Pretzels was trying to resolve. Firstly, Mr. Pretzels needed to showcase their American and International franchising information and investment opportunities on their website in a unique manner that will attract potential investors and lead them to request for more franchising information. Secondly, Mr. Pretzels needed to rebrand their website. Thirdly, they needed to implement a website management system solution to simplify the process of making quick and easy website updates.
Illustrate - The Mr. Pretzel’s franchise is globally established and recognized in many different countries worldwide. The internationalism of the franchise was not clearly conveyed previously, so this needs to be clearly established as a focal point of the website to attract prospective franchisees. Mr. Pretzel’s having recently joined the FranPortal network, a franchise opportunity online portal, this network affiliation needed to be effectively optimized and positioned on the revamped website to emphasize the franchise’s international presence.
Once we fully assessed Mr. Pretzels’ needs, we were then able to formulate a list of criteria to take into consideration when evaluating several different content management system solutions to implement. Such criteria included the level of online interactivity required, frequency of website updates required, communication processes, widget integrations, etc. After much discussion and revisiting our initial research, we selected Joomla as the content management system platform to recommend to Mr. Pretzels.
Initiate – By working closely with Dzinelinx, a web multimedia design firm, we delivered a creative website deployed on a highly functional website management system solution that exceeded our client’s expectations. The result was an appealing website that was designed specifically to cater to the needs of prospective franchisees. The franchising information was carefully organized and easily accessible, and the information request form was simple to use. In conclusion, the website content system solution helped Mr. Pretzels to enhance their online site authority and franchise development strategy.
