Overview:
FranCounsel Group is an international franchise consultant group dedicated to assisting franchisors for international franchising development. FCG relies on an international network of franchise professionals located in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America, to support their clients with their international franchising development and expansion. It was decided that a website makeover was necessary in order to enhance the company’s web presence and use the Internet as a media channel to reflect their established worldwide network of franchise professionals. At that time, much of the website control was left in the hands of technical personnel which proved to be very expensive and time consuming. FCG desired a complex web solution that would empower their internal team to efficiently control and manage their online assets.

Our Process:

Investigate – Integrating a content management system can enhance FCG’s website with new feature installations and can support a wider range of rich content multimedia. The first step to implementing the CMS solution is to understand FCG’s online strategy and business objectives so that the website can be customized to meet those particular business needs. Franchisoft identified that the major attraction point of the website is to deliver quality values through franchising articles to prospective customers. The use of rich multimedia content will be minimal, but the CMS solution should support multimedia content for future business needs.

Illustrate - In order to allow FCG to efficiently manage existing content and create new information, Franchisoft realized that the CMS solution must support the management of articles, pictures, and videos. The CMS must also support additional widgets such as a calendar in order to meet FCG’s objective. After much review and discussion, it was decided by Franchisoft and FCG that a Joomla-based platform would be the most compatible CMS solution for their specific business needs.

Initiate – Franchisoft deployed a seamless migration of content from FCG’s previous website to a Joomla-based content management platform. The CMS solution resulted in alleviating the workload from centralized IT personnel, allowing them to focus on other highly technical work tasks. The CMS system allowed personnel with or without any IT experience to take control of the website management process. The new CMS system not only provided a simplified method to update a website, but it also allows the company’s key decision makers to take greater control in managing the website content so that they are highly relevant to the company’s objectives and are always kept up-to-date.
